SILICON VALLEY IN A DAY
Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to our program
What exactly is a Silicon Valley Inspiration Tour?
A Silicon Valley Inspiration Tour gives answers to the questions that are relevant for your industry: How will technology impact the future of my industry?
What are hypotheses of the future of my industry, what are Startups working on?
The tour is a fully customized experience with up to 5 in-person meetings per day - to find answers to these questions. You can also call it a "factfinding mission".
"Flipped Conference" – how is it different from a normal conference?
In the usual conference, speakers are on a stage, in front of an audience in the room. In the flipped conference, we hop on a tourbus and visit the speakers in their personal setting. You cannot ask the speaker "can you please say this again", when you are attending a conference. At the flipped conference, this is exactly what you will do: interact with the speaker on a very personal level - with only max 9 other attendees in the room.
Who typically joins these tours?
The program is designed for everyone who wants to understand what happens next. Ideally, individuals who can also work with this information and drive change: business leaders, C-suite, executives, board, presidents.
But also business consultants and "corporate refugees" (people in corporate life, on the brink to their next chapter but uncertain, what this chapter could look like. "There must be more for me, waiting out there, I just don't know yet, what it is") often join the tours.
How is the tour customized for participants?
About 2 weeks prior to the program, all participants meet with the curator in a zoom call. They share their background, expectations, motivation to join and more. With this information, the curator begins the outreach and schedules the meetings. In a normal conference, you sign up for the program, in this format, the program "signs up" for the participants. We will have up to 5 meetings each day - with individuals, relevant to the specifics of the particular group. In 13 years of curation, no two tours had the same program.
Who will we meet?
Usually, the rank of the individuals in the program match the rank of the participants. From experience of the past, this means C-Suite, Executives, Startup Founders, Tech leaders. Most of the people have a speaking background (TED, TEDx, Singularity University,...)
What happens after the tour?
Every participant receives a "playbook" which contains an executive summary, key takeaways and a few quotes from every conversation in the tour. This playbook helps keeping the insights "alive" and scale the tour in the own organization - to make sure, as many people as possible benefit from the experience of the participant.
How far in advance shall I book?
Usually, the tours are limited to ten participants. After expressing interest, the curator aligns expectations and outcome with every potential participant. Once the participant decides to sign up, it is first come first serve. Realistically, you should be able to secure your spot until one month prior to the tour.
What is included in the ticket?
The most valuable part of your ticket is the seniority of the network - the people you will meet. Curation, Speakerfees, thats all part of the ticket. You will be picked up, every morning and dropped off in the evening, transport during the tour is also covered. On top of the ticket, you have to cover flights, accommodation and meals during the tour. In case you have to secure a VISA, we will happily provide an invitation letter without additional charges.
What is the difference between a public and a custom tour?
In 2026, we will organize public tours in Silicon Valley, Hongkong and Dubai. These tours are limited to ten participants on a first come first serve basis. A custom tour fully follows the innovation/inspiration curiosity of the group. Ideally the group is capped with ten participants, but we can also organize programs for larger groups. Destination and program follows needs, constraints, requirements of the organization.
